Nike Sportswear is now paying homage to Centre Pompidou with a special AM1 pack. The limited offering is comprised of two unique makeups that boast colored tubes across its uppers - a nod to the Parisian building's design. Another standout highlight is translucent outsoles embellished with an oversized "P" logo next to a miniature Swoosh.
The icon that started the Air Max legacy, Nike remember where it all began with the Air Max 1 "Pompidou Pack". A sneaker that took its design cues from the complexity of the Centre Pompidou, Tinker Hatfield's admiration for the Parisian structure is commemorated in this special release. Originally designed as an "evolving spatial diagram" by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, the architecture is re-imagined into tube-colourings running throughout the leather uppers of this Air Max 1. Painted in a clean white colourway, the AM1 takes the next step in its legacy, while remembering its structural roots.
